The Hungarian Jakub Hrůša and the Italian Lorenzo Viotti are just the latest talented young conductors to whom Filarmonica della Scalahas entrusted its podium, with an eye always on the promises of the new generation. Making his debut at the Piermarini as both Conductorand pianist is the 32-year-old Israeli Lahav Shani, considered one of the youngest and most significant talents in music today: ConductorPrincipal Guest of the Wiener Symphoniker and ConductorPrincipal of the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra, last season he succeeded Zubin Mehta at the helm of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra.
