BIOGRAPHY

At only twenty-two years old, the pianist Beatrice Rana has made a name for herself on the international music scene after winning Second Prize and the Audience Prize at the prestigious Van Cliburn International Piano Competition in 2013. Today she performs in the best concert halls and collaborates with the world's leading conductors and orchestral ensembles.
During the 2022/23 and 2023/24 seasons, Beatrice Rana he is touring Europe with the Vienna Symphoniker and Jaap van Zweden, the Chamber Orchestra of Europe and Antonio Pappano, the Academy of St Martin in the Fields, and the Orchestre Philharmonique du Luxembourg. He also debuts with Filarmonica della Scala of Munich, the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, the San Francisco Symphony and Filarmonica della Scala of Rotterdam; he returns to perform with the Philadelphia Orchestra, Orchestre de Paris, New York Philharmonic, National Symphony Orchestra, Filarmonica della Scala Royal Stockholm and London Philharmonic. For the 2022/2023 season, he holds a 'residency' at the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome and has scheduled new performances in prestigious halls such as Philharmonie de Paris, Laeishalle in Hamburg, Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, Alte Oper Frankfurt, Konzerthaus in Vienna, and Carnegie Hall.

In 2017 he founded the chamber music festival "Classiche Forme" in his hometown of Lecce, Puglia. The festival has become one of Italy's most important summer events. Since 2020 he has been Conductor artistic director ofFilarmonica orchestra in Benevento.
In June 2013 Beatrice Rana he won the Silver Medal and the 'audience prize' at the prestigious Van Cliburn International Piano Competition. However, she had already attracted international attention in 2011, at the age of 18, by winning first prize and all special prizes at the Montreal International Competition.
Born into a family of musicians in 1993, Beatrice Rana she made her orchestral debut as a soloist at the age of nine, performing Bach's Concerto in F minor. She began her musical studies at age four and graduated in piano under Benedetto Lupo at the Nino Rota Conservatory of Music in Monopoli, where she also studied composition with Marco della Sciucca. She later studied with Arie Vardi in Hannover and again with Benedetto Lupo at the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia.
She currently Beatrice Rana lives in Rome.
