FREE CONCERT - FREE ACCESS TO THE SQUARE
Sunday 10 June 2018 at 9.30 p. m. Filarmonica della Scala returns to Piazza Duomo with the Concerto per Milano, the sixth edition of the annual free symphonic event that transforms the heart of the city into an "Open

Conductor of the orchestra is Riccardo Chailly, guest soloist of this edition is Russian pianist Denis Matsuev, who will perform Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky's monumental Piano Concerto No. 1 in B-flat minor op. 23, one of the most famous pieces of the piano repertoire and one of the most loved by the public. The second part of the programme is again a tribute to the great Russian composers: Chailly conducts Pictures from an Exhibition by Modest Mussorgsky in Maurice Ravel's orchestration.
Rai Cultura will broadcast the concert live on Rai 5 in HD, directed by Patrizia Carmine, on the web portal RaiPlay and on Radio3. Thanks to RaiCom, it will also be broadcast live in Germany, France and the French-speaking countries by Arte, in Greece, Korea, and deferred in Slovenia, Hungary, Japan and China.
