Since 2014, when he conducted Eine Alpensinfonie, Fabio Luisi has returned cyclically to Richard Strauss with Filarmonica della Scala. Few like Strauss have been able to use the rich palette of instrumental colors to depict human passions and emotions. He did so with a series of pioneering symphonic poems, often choosing extraordinary characters as his subjects - Till Eulenspiegel, a kind of prankster Faust, belongs to the German popular imagination. The Suite from Der Rosenkavalier collects the most beloved musical moments of one of the most performed operas of the 20th century. But this appointment is enriched by the presence of Imogen Cooper, a British pianist known for her Mozart interpretations, grappling with the concerto K 466.
