Finnish Tarmo Peltokoski is the young Conductor debuting this season. At only 23 years old, his calendar is already so busy that when the Latvian National Symphony Orchestra appointed him Conductor Principal in 2022, the first available date was in November. For the past three years Peltokoski has been touring Europe, conducting orchestras such as the Philharmonique de Radio France and the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen. The fascinating program is dedicated to the music of his most famous compatriot and features a master violinist of the caliber of Leonidas Kavakos grappling with Karol Szymanowski's Concerto No. 2.

Conductor Finnish conductor Tarmo Peltokoski was awarded the title of "Conductor principal guest" in January 2022 by the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen, the first Conductor to hold this position in the orchestra's 42-year history. In May 2022, Peltokoski was appointed Conductor musical and artistic of the Latvian National Symphony Orchestra.
