Filarmonica della Scala at the Athens Epidaurus Festival with Myung-Whun Chung

Scheduled for Sunday 26 June at 9 p.m. is the eagerly awaited Filarmonica della Scala concert at theOdeon of Herodes Atticusancient theatre of the Acropolis in Athens, on the occasion of theAthens Epidaurus Festival. The direction is entrusted to Myung-Whun Chung, one of the most assiduous conductors of La Scala in touring concerts. On the programme are the Overture from Gioacchino Rossini's L'italiana in Algeri, Ludwig van Beethoven's Second Symphony No. 2 in D major and Antonín Dvořák's Symphony No. 9 in E minor From the New World. Filarmonica della Scala returns to the Odeon ten years after its last appearance with Semyon Bychkov in 2011 and with Daniel Barenboim in 2009.
