The next edition of Concerto per Milano, the great free open-air event that Filarmonica della Scala dedicates to its city every year: on Thursday, June 8, at 9:30 p.m., thousands of spectators will once again fill the Piazza del Duomo for Italy's most attended classical music event.
As always on the podium is Riccardo Chailly, Conductor music of the orchestra, who offers a tribute to the great Italian operas, with the exceptional participation of Peruvian tenor Juan Diego Flórez.
The program includes some of the most beloved symphonies and arias in the repertoire, taken from La Cenerentola by Gioachino Rossini, Lucia di Lammermoor by Gaetano Donizetti, I Capuleti e i Montecchi by Vincenzo Bellini, La Traviata by Giuseppe Verdi, concluding with "Che gelida manina" from La Bohème by Giacomo Puccini.
